Reverse Osmosis Filtration Systems
What is a Reverse Osmosis Filtration System
A reverse osmosis filtration system is a type of water filtration system that uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove a wide range of contaminants from your water supply. The system works by applying pressure to the water, forcing it through the membrane and leaving behind contaminants such as dissolved solids, salts, and other impurities.
Reverse osmosis systems are highly effective at removing a wide range of contaminants, including arsenic, lead, chlorine, fluoride, and nitrates, among others. They are commonly used in residential and commercial properties where high-quality, clean water is essential.
How do Reverse Osmosis Filtration Systems Work?
Household water is directed through a prefilter for filtration to remove chlorine, sediment taste and odor, and particulate matter.
The water is then forced, by pressure, through a semipermeable membrane where a high percentage of the dissolved solids, etc. are rejected and flushed to the drain. Filtered water is reserved in the storage tank until needed.
An activated carbon absorption block filter that removes tastes and odors polishes the water immediately before going to the faucet.
These systems reduce the amount of lead in the water, drastically reducing your exposure consuming it!
